Vancouver Youth Pianist Club (VYPC) was a not-for-profit organization founded in 2012, when Ranfei Wang was one of the first members. VYPC is dedicated to proving talented young pianists with educational and performance opportunities. The club also organizes many charity concerts and fund-raising events.
In 2017, Ranfei Wang was voted to the position of President of the Vancouver Young Pianist Club. During the time Ranfei have held the position of President, this club has raised more than thirty thousand dollars to various charities in the Metro Vancouver area.
VYPC has been giving free concerts in seniors' centres and nursing homes every month over the past 5 years.
Ranfei participated fund-raising concert for poor children in China in December 2013.
In June, 2017, Ranfei played in a piano concerto concert with orchestra to raise over $12,000 to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
Ranfei Wang gave a charity concert to the public in October 2018 at Gateway Theatre and raised $6,350 for Richmond Hospital Foundation.
In the past a few years, Ranfei participated in fund-raising concerts to raise over $10,000 to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation for their new hospital building project.
In 2018, Ranfei MCed and played in a concert to raise over $4350 for Easter Seals for children with disabilities.
In October, Ranfei played in a concert organized by TOM LEE for fund-raising for Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
Ranfei gave his first solo piano recital in January 2013 in Vancouver at age of 11, and a sold-out solo piano recital in March 2014 at Pyatt Hall at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music in Vancouver at age of 12.
In 2012, Ranfei played the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 with the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra at the Roy Barnett Recital Hall at UBC in Vancouver.
Ranfei was invited to play the “Carnival of the Animals” with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra in April 2016. In June 2017,
Ranfei played the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra at Chan Centre in Vancouver.
In October, 2018, Ranfei gave his solo piano recital in Gateway Theatre in Richmond, BC.
In February 2014, Ranfei performed at Carnegie Hall in New York in the Winners' Gala of the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition.
Played Chopin No.1 Piano Concerto with orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver BC Canada on May 18, 2019.
Played at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra 100 anniversary concert.
